Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Your journey begins with a warm welcome and briefing from the Jossec Safaris team in Nairobi. Afterward, we’ll drive north to the Samburu National Reserve, home to unique wildlife species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, and the gerenuk. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive, where you’ll explore the reserve’s diverse landscapes and wildlife. Return to the lodge for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu
Spend the full day immersed in the wonders of Samburu. Begin with an early morning game drive, followed by a delicious breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, continue your adventure with a mid-morning game drive, spotting elephants, lions, and a variety of bird species. After lunch and a relaxing break, you’ll head out for another afternoon game drive. Conclude the day with a sundowner in the wild, enjoying the serenity of the African savanna before heading back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, we depart Samburu and drive south to Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its flamingos and rich birdlife. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at your lodge before setting out for an afternoon game drive. The park is also famous for its rhinos, lions, buffaloes, and the elusive leopard, all set against a backdrop of breathtaking landscapes. After a rewarding day, head back to your lodge for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, we head toward the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. On arrival, check in to your lodge and enjoy a leisurely lunch before embarking on your first game drive in the Mara. This is one of the best places to see the Big Five – lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes – along with cheetahs and other wildlife. After your game drive, return to the lodge for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara
Experience a full day of adventure in the Masai Mara, starting with an early morning game drive, when the animals are most active. This is a great opportunity to track predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. After breakfast, you’ll continue exploring the Mara with additional game drives. If you’re visiting during the Great Migration, the iconic river crossings of wildebeest and zebras will be a highlight of the day. After your thrilling game drives, return to the lodge for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi
On the final day of your safari, enjoy a relaxing morning with breakfast at the lodge. There will be no game drive today, but you'll have time to soak in the last views of the Mara’s stunning landscapes. After checking out, we will begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi, where you’ll arrive in the late afternoon.
